I stumbled upon this by accident, but you can still use wikipedia today during the blackout! When you go the site or follow a link to a page, you'll see the page load before the blackout page comes up. Just hit the escape key (or I used command-period on a Mac) before the blackout page comes on. Voila, wikipedia! ;)
